ANN ARBOR, Mich. –– No. 5 Northwestern Women's Soccer (11-1-2, 5-0-1) puts its twelve-game unbeaten streak on the line against the Michigan Wolverines (6-5-3, 1-3-2) on Thursday at 5 p.m. CT on B1G+.

The contest will be the first in six days for the Wildcats, after defeating Wisconsin 2-1 last Friday. Meg Boade opened the scoring in the sixth minute, finding a rebound in the box and slotting it past the Wisconsin keeper. The goal marked the fifth time in seven games that the 'Cats had scored in the first ten minutes. The 1-0 scoreline held for for the remainder of the first half and until the 69th minute when Aurea del Carmen doubled the Wildcat lead. Wisconsin grabbed one back to cut the deficit to one in the 74th minute, but the 'Cats held on to win their second in a row and grab first place in the Big Ten.
