Wildcats' Comeback Falls Short Against Wake Forest

RALEIGH, N.C. – Northwestern fell 4-2 to Wake Forest in the opening match of the ITA Kickoff Weekend in Raleigh on Saturday afternoon.
Senior Clarissa Hand picked up a statement win with a 6-7, 6-7 (3), 6-2 victory over No. 35 Carolyn Campana at No. 1 singles.
Maria Shusharina also battled back from a set down for an impressive 6-7 (3), 6-0, 6-3 win over Samantha Martinelli at No. 3.
The Wildcats are back in action tomorrow morning against Penn State at 10 a.m. CT to close out the weekend. Full results from the match can be found below.
