Wildcats Return To Raleigh For Women's ITA Kickoff Weekend

EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern's women's tennis will travel to Raleigh, N.C. for ITA Kickoff Weekend this Saturday and Sunday with a pair of familiar opponents on deck.
On Saturday, Jan 29, The team is set to face Wake Forest at 11 a.m. CT followed by either No. 8 North Carolina State or Penn State on Sunday. Sunday's matchup will be dependent on the results of Saturday's matches.

Last season, Northwestern knocked off then-No.7 NC State 4-3 in Raleigh before defeating then-No. 16 Wake Forest 4-0 to advance to the ITA Indoor National Championships.
The 'Cats are currently 0-1 after falling to Vanderbilt 5-2 in the season opener.?? Sydney Pratt earned a singles point with a 6-2, 7-5 decision and Ema Lazic earned the other singles point with a 6-3, 6-2 win.
Wake Forest is 1-1 after falling to the University of Tennessee in a 3-4 decision, and picking up a 7-0 win against Davidson College.
North Carolina State is 3-0, featuring 4-3 wins against both Princeton and Ohio State.
Penn State is 2-1, coming off the heels of a 5-2 win at Syracuse. Northwestern is 15-0 against the Nittany Lions with their most recent meeting in 2019 resulting in a 4-2 win.
