Wildcats Fall At Vanderbilt, 5-2

EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern dropped its season opener at Vanderbilt, 5-2 on Sunday afternoon.
Graduate Ema Lazic picked up her first dual win as a Wildcat at No. 5 singles with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Amy Stevens.
First year Sydney Pratt picked up her first career duals win over Marcella Cruz with a 6-2, 7-5 decision at No. 4 singles
Pratt and Hannah McColgan picked up a 6-4 win at No. 2 doubles.
Justine Leong and Maria Shusharina had one set leads and played tough third sets but fell just short.
The Wildcats hit the road next weekend for ITA Indoors Qualifying at North Carolina State. They will face off against Wake Forest in the first match on Saturday.
