EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern women's tennis kicks off the 2022 dual season on Sunday at Vanderbilt at 1 p.m. CT.

Fans can follow along with the live stats at StatBroadcast and  stream the match at TrackTennis.

The Wildcats are coming off a trip to the second round of the NCAA Tournament in 2021, and their 22nd consecutive trip to the Tournament as a program.

Vanderbilt presents a stern test to open the season, as the Commodores also made the second round of the NCAA Tournament last season. They boast three players in the latest ITA singles rankings and two doubles pairings in the rankings as well.

The 'Cats started 2022 on a strong note last weekend at the Wildcat Invite against Wisconsin and Butler, going 18-2 in doubles and 16-7 in singles.

Head Coach Claire Pollard has plenty of options in her first dual lineup deployment of the season. The program returns five players from their lineup last year in Clarissa Hand, Maria Shusharina, Briana Crowley, Christina Hand and Hannah McColganm and has added two transfers–Ema Lazic and Justine Leong–and two first-years in Sydney Pratt and Kiley Rabjohns

The Wildcats have split their last two meetings wtih Vanderbilt, defeating the then-No. 7 Commodores in 2017 in Evanston but falling to them next year in Nashville when they were ranked No. 5 nationally.
