EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern continues its conference schedule this Friday as it hosts Iowa. The dual starts at 7 p.m. CT and will be broadcast live on B1G+.
The Wildcats sit at 2-2 on the season after falling to #15 Wisconsin and #14 Minnesota this past weekend.
Michael DeAugustino moved up to #7 in the InterMat.com 125 lbs. rankings after defeating two top-5 opponents over the weekend. DeAugustino defeated #4 Eric Barnett of Wisconsin on Friday by 9-5 decision #5 Patrick McKee of Minnesota by 8-7 decision.
#14 Lucas Davidson also earned a top-5 win, defeating #5 Trent Hillger of Wisconsin in a 4-3 decision in the 285 lbs. division on Friday.
#9 Chris Cannon picked up two ranked wins at 133 lbs., taking down #25 Kyle Burwick of Wisconsin by 4-0 decision and #24 Jake Gliva of Minnesota in a 6-3 decision.
#5 Yahya Thomas earned another ranked win at Minnesota, defeating #26 Michael Blockhus by 6-1 decision at 149 lbs.
