EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern's defense allowed a season-low eight goals and won its third game in a row as it defeated Dartmouth 18-8 inside Ryan Fieldhouse on Monday night. Lauren Gilbert scored a game-high six goals and helped the No. 4 ranked wildcats improve to 6-0 at home.

Northwestern (7-2) logged season-highs in shots (46) and ground balls (23) and tied its season best with 21 draw controls.

Up 12-3 at halftime, the Wildcats took advantage of a running clock for the majority of the third period and scored six goals in the second half.

After the Big Green (2-4) scored the game's first two goals over three minutes, Northwestern went on a 12-0 scoring run until the 0:44 mark of the second quarter. Gilbert scored four times and took three free position shots. Hannah Johnson and Dylan Amonte also added two goals each in in the first half.

Erin Coykendall finished the game with three goals, while Jill Girardi tied her career-high of 13 draw controls. Northwestern won its 15th consecutive home game and is 6-0 inside Ryan Fieldhouse this season.
