INDIANAPOLIS – Northwestern dropped Thursday's Big Ten Tourament second round contest against No. 24 Iowa, 112-76, inside Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

Ryan Young led the way for the Wildcats (15-16) with 14 points on 6-of-8 shooting from the field to go along with one rebound, one assist, one block, and one steal.Â

Pete Nance added 11 points on 5-of-9 shooting from the field while adding two rebounds and two assists. Boo Buie scored 12 points and Robbie Beran 10 to round out the Wildcats double figure scorers.

Julian Roper II chipped in with nine points on 3-of-4 shooting from behind the arc, three blocks, two rebounds, and one assist. Roper II set a career high with his three made threes while tying a career high he set earlier in the season against Nebraska with three blocks.

Keegan Murray scored a game-high 26 points for Iowa (23-9).

NU trailed 64-31 at halftime and totaled 36 points in the paint for the game. The Wildcats reached the second round of the Big Ten Tournament for the first time since 2016-17.
