Indiana is 30-3-8 against Big Ten foes over the last six seasons, with Northwestern handing the Hoosiers one of those three losses last season in Evanston. The Wildcats defeated Indiana 1-0 at Ryan FieldhouseΒ thanks to a goal from Ugo Achara Jr. and a shutout from Miha Miskovic, who made five saves.Β

Northwestern is led offensively by first year Paul Son and sophomore Justin Weiss with five points apiece. Weiss scored the lone goal at Penn State on Friday, with the assist coming from junior midfielder Vicente Castro.Β

The Wildcats have allowed just 0.86 goals per game, the third best average in the Big Ten. The Hoosiers rank eighth out of nine in the category with 1.33 goals allowed per game. The 'Cats also have the second best save percentage in the conference of 0.80 thanks to their goalkeeping duo of Miskovic and Ethan Bandre.Β

Indiana's offense is led by Thommy Mihalic with two goals this season. Goalkeeper Roman Celentano and midfielder Spencer Glass were both named to Top Drawer Soccer's Preseason Best XI.
