Wildcats Announce 2021 Fall Ball Schedule

EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern softball announced its complete 2021 fall schedule, which features the Wildcats hosting eight games throughout September and October.
The 'Cats will play four doubleheaders against Spoon River Community College, DePaul, Loyola Chicago and Wisconsin. All eight games will be played at Sharon J. Drysdale Field. Admission is free for all attending fans this fall, as is parking for Sunday games at the Ryan Field East lot.

Sun, Sept. 26 – Spoon River CC (DH beginning at 12 pm CT)
Sat, Oct. 2 – DePaul (DH beginning at 12 pm CT)
Sun, Oct. 3 – Loyola Chicago (DH beginning at 12 pm CT)
Sun, Oct. 17 – Wisconsin (DH beginning at 1 pm CT)
The Wildcats return seven starters from last year's team–including four All-Big Ten & NFCA All-Region honorees in Rachel Lewis, Jordyn Rudd, Skyler Shellmyer and Danielle Williams.
In the spring of 2021, the Wildcats finished third in the Big Ten after playing a conference-only schedule and clinched an NCAA Tournament berth for the sixth time in the last seven years. In their 20th season at the helm of Northwestern softball, Kate Drohan and Caryl Drohan became the program's all-time win leaders en route to leading the program to its 14th overall NCAA Tournament appearance in their tenure.
Four newcomers from the incoming Class of 2025 (Lauren Curry, Ayana Lindsey, Grace Nieto and Lauren Sciborski) join the 'Cats' roster this fall.
