Women's Golf
Northwestern makes its 11th-straight NCAA Regional appearance this week as the 'Cats head west to play in the Stanford Regional starting Monday May 10. The competition at Stanford Golf Course has been characterized as one of the most challenging in the country, and it features three top-eight teams, including No. 3 Wake Forest.

Chicago's Big Ten Team comes off a fifth-place finish at the Big Ten Championships last month that featured sophomore Irene Kim's second-place finish at 6-under par. Kim has shined for Northwestern in 2021. The La Palma, California native was named Big Ten Golfer of the Year last week, the third Wildcat since 2015 to claim the award, and earlier this week was named to the United States team that will compete at the 2021 Arnold Palmer Cup in June.

Women's Tennis
For the 25th season in a row, Northwestern will participate in the NCAA Tournament this week as the Wildcats welcome Xavier, Drake and Texas A&M to Evanston. Northwestern will face off with Xavier in the first round Friday with the match slated to begin at 3 p.m. CT.

Chicago's Big Ten Team has made the Tournament every year since Head Coach Claire Pollard took over the program in 1999. The Wildcats are 18-5 as a team this year, their best record since the 2017-18 season when they advanced all the way to the Round of 16 in the NCAA Tournament. Their impressive resume includes three wins over top-10 teams as well as a 4-0 win against No. 16 Wake Forest.

Men's Tennis
Northwestern competes in its second-consecutive NCAA Tournament this week as the Wildcats go to Austin, Texas where they will face UCLA in the first round at 9 a.m. CT Saturday. If the 'Cats advance, they will face the winner of Northern Arizona-Texas in the second round.

The 'Cats have gone 13-7 this season, including a 4-0 win over No. 23 Duke in January and a stretch of 10 wins in 12 matches between Feb. 28 and Apr. 11. Led by impressive singles performances from Steven Forman, Chris Ephron, Trice Pickens and Presley Thienemen, Northwestern advanced to the semifinals in the Big Ten Tournament last week.

Softball
After a brief return home, Northwestern sets out this weekend for its final road trip of the regular season. The Wildcats will face off with the Purdue Boilermakers in a four-game set in West Lafayette, Indiana from Friday to Sunday. First pitch Friday is slated for 4:30 p.m. CT, while Saturday's doubleheader and Sunday's series finale will both start at noon.

Northwestern enters the series with Purdue off a dramatic four-game split with Illinois. The 'Cats stormed back in the first game of last weekend's doubleheader, plating four runs in the final two innings, capped by Morgan Newport's two-run, walk-off home run, to secure a 7-6 victory. Junior pitcher Danielle Williams was her usual lockdown self, striking out 20 in two complete games, while the Wildcat hitters mashed six home runs, their most in a series this year.

Live coverage of the Purdue series can be found on the Big Ten Network.

Lacrosse
The women's lacrosse NCAA Tournament Selection show will be broadcast live this weekend at 8 a.m. CT Sunday on ESPNU. Northwestern secured an automatic berth to the 29-team Tournament last weekend by winning its second-straight Big Ten Championship 17-12 over Maryland.

Northwestern, currently ranked second in both the Inside Lacrosse Media Poll and the IWLCA Coaches Poll, touts a perfect 13-0 record after rolling through the regular season and Big Ten Tournament. Earlier this week, junior Izzy Scane was unanimously named Big Ten Attacker of the Year and Head Coach Kelly Amonte Hiller earned her second-consecutive Big Ten Coach of the Year award. The two have helped engineer a record-breaking offense that scores a nation-leading 20.62 goals per game.

The first round of the NCAA Tournament is scheduled for May 14 at non-predetermined campus sites. The top three seeds will receive a first-round bye and play their first games in the second round on May 16.
