Six Northwestern programs will be in action this weekend, including the regular season finales for the volleyball, men's soccer and women's soccer programs.

Baseball
Northwestern currently sits fourth in the Big Ten heading into the weekend four-game series against the No. 24 Michigan Wolverines. The Wildcats are 9-5 on the season thus far and currently sit in fourth place in the Big Ten standings.

In NU's last series, they smashed 15 home runs over the span of the three games, winning two of the three contests. Anthony Calarco, Shawn Goosenberg,  and Michael Trautwein finished the series with three homers a piece. Trautwein has now homered in five-straight games. Goosenberg earned himself Big Ten Player of the week with his stellar performance in the series against Illinois.

The Wildcats are on a scoring tear as of late, averaging 9.8 runs per game in their last 5 games. Anthony Calarco currently leads the team in runs with 20 while Michael Trautwein leads the team with 19 RBI.

The first game of the series is on Friday, April 2, at 3 p.m. CT on Big Ten Network+

Softball
The 'Cats moved to 15-1 on the season with a four-game sweep of the Wisconsin Badgers last weekend in their home opener. NU is now the 24th ranked team in the nation headed into their four-game series against the Maryland Terrapins. Northwestern has won six straight games following their lone loss of the season to Ohio State and currently sit atop the Big Ten standings.

After 9.1 innings of scoreless work across two games against Wisconsin on Saturday, Morgan Newport extended her scoreless inning streak to 13.1 innings on the season. She also leads the team in home runs with three and picked up Big Ten Player of the Week honors this past week.

Sydney Supple had a dominant series against Wisconsin, batting 5-for-10 with two homers and a double while contributing six RBI. In total, Northwestern's four pitchers combined for 17 hits, 15 RBI, a .567 batting average and a 1.778 OPS against the Badgers last weekend.

Danielle Williams picked up her eighth straight win on Sunday to close out the series against Wisconsin. Williams is yet to lose a game this season.

The Wildcats will face the Maryland Terrapins in a four-game series in College Park, Maryland over the weekend. The games can be found on Big Ten Network+, with one game Friday night, two on Saturday, and the series finale on Sunday.

Volleyball
Volleyball had their hands full against the No. 4 Minnesota Gophers, dropping a pair of hard-fought battles to fall to 3-5 on the season.

This weekend, the Wildcats will take on the Maryland Terrapins in College Park, Maryland on Friday and Saturday this week. Last year, the Wildcats split matches with the Terps. Northwestern's kill leader, Temi Thomas-Ailara, collected 32 kills across the two matches. The matches will be at 5 p.m. CT on Big Ten Network+ on both Friday and Saturday.

Men's Tennis
A 3-4 setback to No. 25 Michigan on Sunday snapped the Wildcats' three-meet winning streak. The 'Cats slid to 8-5 on the season and tied for fourth in the Big Ten.

The doubles pairing of Nick Brookes and Simen Bratholm have won four-straight matches and find themselves ranked seventh after defeating the sixth ranked duo this past weekend.

After a win at No. 2 doubles, Chris Ephron is 6-0 in his last six finished doubles matches. He has partnered with Dominik Stary and Steven Forman during the six match streak.

Women's Soccer:
Northwestern returns home for its final regular matchup of the regular season as they face off against in-state rival Illinois on Senior Day. The Wildcats are 5-5 on the season after splitting a pair of road contests last week.

On Thursday at Michigan State, Olivia Stone scored an overtime game winner for the 'Cats just 52 seconds into the overtime period off an assist from Aurea Martin. Mackenzie Wood posted a shutout in net, marking her fifth clean sheet of the season and the 14th of her career. The Wildcats could not keep the momentum going on Sunday, falling on the road to Ohio State, 1-0.

Kickoff is set for noon CT at Martin Stadium on Saturday, with coverage live on Big Ten Network+.

Men's Soccer:
Northwestern concludes its regular season on Sunday as the 'Cats travel to Piscataway for a showdown at Rutgers.

In their last outing this past Saturday, the Wildcats fell to Maryland, 2-1, at Martin Stadium in what marked the final home game of Tim Lenahan's coaching career at Northwestern in his 20th season with the program. Rom Brown netted the lone goal for the 'Cats in the 82nd minute of action, while Miha Miskovic recorded four saves in net.

The last time NU faced off against Rutgers was last season in a 2-0 shutout victory at Martin Stadium on October 20, 2019 as Jose Del Valle and Logan Weaver each converted on goals.

Kickoff is set for noon CT on Sunday, with coverage live on Big Ten Network+.
