EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern gets set to host a double-header at Welsh-Ryan Arena this weekend. The 'Cats will welcome No. 4 Wisconsin to Evanston on Friday at 7 p.m. CT, then face-off against Indiana on Sunday at noon. Both games will be live-streamed on B1G+.
The Wildcats are coming off a 3-1 road win at Indiana on Sunday. Temi Thomas-Ailara planted a game-high 19 kills, her fifth-highest total of the season, while Leilani Dodson (16) and Ella Grbac (10) matched their season-highs for kills. Charlotte Cronister led the team with 14 digs, a new career-high, while Thomas-Ailara, Megan Miller, and Alexa Rousseau all chipped in double-digit digs.
It is the fifth conference win of the season for Northwestern, matching its total from the entire 2019 season.
Thomas-Ailara's 20 kills moved her into second in the Big Ten with 4.59 points per set.
While the 'Cats will be seeing Indiana for the second time this week, it has been over two years since Northwestern last played Wisconsin, with their last matchup coming in October 2019. The Wildcats last win against Wisconsin came in 2012.
