AFP Honors Supple on National Philanthropy Day

Northwestern junior Sydney Supple was honored by the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Northeast Wisconsin Chapter on Wednesday as part of National Philanthropy Day.
Supple was nominated by the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation for her efforts to build a Class A Softball Diamond in her hometown.
A three-time Gatorade Award Player of Wisconsin, Supple donated the $1,000 grant from each award towards the project, working with the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation to raise the rest of the funds.
Supple made countless presentations and proposals to different groups, and enjoyed support from James & Rosanne Keller, who set up a matching fund for the money she raised.
After raising over $110,000, Supple and the City of Oshkosh Parks Department opened the field in October of 2019. The field does not have any locks on it and is available to anyone that wants to use it to practice, have fun, and dream.
