Steigleder Named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week

EVANSTON, Ill. – Graduate midfielder Regan Steigleder was named Big Ten Co-Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday after scoring two game winning goals last week.
Steigleder scored a dramatic header against Illinois in the 89th minute on Thursday to give the 'Cats a 1-0 win over their rivals. She converted a penalty kick against Nebraksa in the second half on Sunday. The goal ended up proving decisive in the 2-1 win.
The Iowa City native also made her 81st career appearance on Sunday, the fourth most in program history behind Marisa Viggiano (85), Kayla Sharples (87) and Lauren Clem (89).
The Wildcats have won two straight games, are unbeaten in their last four, and boast a 6-1-1 record in the last eight games. They welcome Indiana for a blockbuster matchup Friday night at Martin Stadium. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. CT.
