EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern hits the road this weekend for two Big Ten contests. The 'Cats travel to College Park to take on Maryland at 6 p.m. CT on Friday, then head to University Park to battle No. 13 Penn State at 6 p.m. Ct on Saturday.Â

Northwestern is 6-9 on the season and coming off a weekend split of Big Ten games. The 'Cats picked up their first conference win of the season on Friday, sweeping Rutgers in front of the home fans at Welsh-Ryan Arena. Temi Thomas-Ailara led the team in kills, digs, and blocks en route to the Wildcat win.

The 'Cats dropped a tight contest against Minnesota on Saturday, 2-3, failing to capitalize after winning the first two sets.

Thomas-Ailara has been dominant for Northwestern this season, leading the conference with 276.5 points and is second in kills with 228.Â
