WGN Radio to Air a Trio of 'Cats Classics

EVANSTON, Ill. — WGN Radio AM-720 announced that the station will air broadcasts of memorable Northwestern men's basketball and football games on each of the next three Fridays at 7 p.m. CT, beginning April 3. In addition to listening on the radio home for Northwestern Athletics, fans can stream the broadcasts online at WGNRadio.com.
Tune in and let legendary play-by-play voice of the 'Cats, Dave Eanet, bring you back to three of the most memorable performances in Wildcats history. The games will air with limited commercial breaks. Eanet, alongside studio host Mark Carman, also will be joined by special Northwestern guests to provide additional commentary and insight.

After a nine-win regular-season secured a fifth-consecutive bowl invitation, the Wildcats met Mississippi State at Everbank Field in Jacksonville, Florida, in search of their first bowl win since the 1949 Rose bowl. The historic victory also would give Northwestern its second 10-win season in the modern era and establish head coach Pat Fitzgerald as the winningest coach in program history.
