2/4/2020 3:09:00 PM | Men's Tennis
Evanston, Ill.- Northwestern will go on the road for the second straight weekend, traveling to Lexington, Ky. on Friday to take on Kentucky, then to Stillwater, Okla. to take on Oklahoma State. The Wildcats split decisions on last weekend's road trip, beating Louisville 4-1 before falling to Duke two days later.
Steven Forman is coming out of strong matches against Louisville and Duke, picking up a critical point versus the Cardinals with a 6-2, 6-4 victory in singles and another in doubles alongside Natan Spear. That doubles pair also grabbed a 6-3 win against their Duke counterparts.
Nick Brookes and Simen Bratholm also picked up big singles wins against Louisville.
They'll first look to continue their success against Kentucky, a team sitting at 6-2 but that dropped its last match 2-5 versus Oklahoma. The last meeting between the two schools came in Feb. 2016, a match in Evanston that Northwestern handily took 6-1.
Northwestern is no stranger to Oklahoma State (5-2), having faced the Cowboys four times in the last three seasons. Oklahoma State, like Northwestern, is coming off a 1-1 weekend falling to Ole Miss and besting Memphis on the road.
The Wildcats will be back in Evanston two weekends later, hosting Vanderbilt on Feb. 21 at 4 p.m. CT at the Combe Tennis Center.
