'Cats Sunk by Bulls in Close Game Two

TAMPA, Fla. – Northwestern came up just short in another close game despite limiting the Bulls to just two hits in a 2-1 loss at South Florida Saturday night.
Redshirt sophomore Tyler Uberstine delivered five innings of one-hit ball, and was charged with one earned run. Uberstine is now allowing a .183 batting average against in 15 innings through three starts.
Ryan Bader pitched two innings of relief while Josh Levy tossed a scoreless eighth inning.
Junior David Dunn led the way offensively with three hits in five at bats. Senior Leo Kaplan notched the lone RBI on the day, while collecting two hits of his own.
In a pitcher's duel, both teams combined for only eight hits on the day. Northwestern struck first in the third inning, and the Bulls plated the decisive runs in the sixth.
The Wildcats will look to take a win home to Evanston in game three tomorrow. First pitch is set for noon CT.
