Davis Announces Addition of Reininga to 2020 Roster

EVANSTON, IL – Friday afternoon Northwestern Volleyball Head Coach, Shane Davis, announced the addition of Grace Reininga to the Class of 2024.
"We are thrilled to add Grace Reininga to our Northwestern Volleyball family," said Davis. "We have an elite 2024 recruiting class with Alexa Rousseau and Natalie Chizzo and are excited to welcome Grace as our newest Wildcat. Grace is an extremely hard worker and skilled volleyball player. We can't wait for her to join our program!"
Before joining the Wildcats, Reininga earned an All-State Tournament team and All Eastern Kansas League Second Team honors and was named team captain for her season. The Leawood, KS native led her teams in digs and passing percentage all four years and in serving aces her last two years at Blue Valley North High School.

Personal: Born Grace Reininga… Parents are Peter Reininga and Elizabeth Berkley… Played for Adversity VBC… Mother Elizabeth was a middle blocker at Kansas State… Father was a pitcher at Northwestern and was the associate head coach and pitching coach for the Wildcats for eight years…. Twin sister Lillian plays volleyball at Westmont College… Played at the same club as with incoming first-year Natalie Chizzo… National Honor Society… National Art History Society… National Science Honor Society… Mu Alpha Theta… Spanish National Honor Society… Principal's Honor Roll… Kansas Honor Scholarship… Dartmouth Alumni Club Book Award… Anticipated major is Economics
