Driscoll, Hawkins Lead 'Cats in Final Round of the Prestige

LA QUINTA, Calif. - First year John Driscoll and senior Everton Hawkins each had the best round of their careers, earning a top-15 finish in the in the third-and-final day of the Prestige presented by Charles Schwab.
FINAL RESULTS
Driscoll fired on all cylinders on the final day at PGA West, leading the 'Cats with a 6-under 65 performance featuring a team-best seven birdies for the first top-15 finish of his career. The Florida native beat his previous career low of 66 that came earlier this season at Erin Hills.
Hawkins, a California native, carded a career-best 4-under 67 for a share of 14th place with Driscoll. The lone senior finished the round with a bogey-free back nine and concluded the tournament 3-under overall. This marked the 14th top-25 finish of Hawkins' career and sixth time in the top-15.
As a team, the Wildcats finished with their best round of the tournament, recording a 4-under 280 score. Coming in 10thplace, Northwestern beat out the 25th-ranked LSU Tigers, No. 45 Arkansas and host school, UC Davis.
Next up for NU is another trip out west to compete in the Desert Mountain Collegiate in Scottsdale, Ariz. March 7-8.
