EVANSTON, Ill. – The Wildcats will head to Ann Arbor this Thursday for a rematch against Michigan with a three-game win streak under their belts. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m on BTN+.
Northwestern stands at 20-3 overall and 10-2 in conference play. They are half a game back of Maryland and Iowa in first place, and tied in the loss column with both schools, who play each other Thursday night.
The 'Cats are ranked No. 19 in the latest AP Top 25 Poll, jumping two spots for the second straight week.
Northwester started its current win streak with a home victory against Michigan, 81-73. Junior guard Lindsey Pulliam scored a season-high 32 points, while senior centers Abbie Wolf and Abi Scheid also hit double digits.
The Wildcats won their last road game at Penn State 82-59, and put away the Spartans in their last home game 85-55, their largest margin of victory in conference play this season.
Pulliam had another thirty-point night against Michigan State propelling her over the 1,500 career point mark, making her the third-fastest player in Northwestern history to do so. Meanwhile sophomore guard Veronica Burton had a career-night with 23 points and 11 rebounds, her first double-double.
Northwestern is 7-1 on the road and has scored over eighty points in its last three contests. The 'Cats forced a total of 16 Spartan turnovers, keeping them at third in the nation and first in the Big Ten with a 1.56 assist-to-turnover ratio. They also moved into the top-ten for turnover margin.
