EVANSTON, Ill.
– No. 15 Northwestern will head west to the Cornhusker State to play Nebraska on New Year's Eve. Tip-off is set for 1 p.m. CT and the game will be televised on the Big Ten Network.

 

The 'Cats are 4-0 this season after a brief hiatus following an easy home win over Eastern Kentucky. Three Wildcats finished in double-digit points with junior Veronica Burton leading the charge with 17. Burton has led NU in scoring in all four games this season.

 

Sophomore Sydney Wood and Senior Lindsey Pulliam both also eclipsed double-digits in the contest. Wood, Burton, and Pulliam have all scored 10+ points in each of the four games this season.

 

The 'Cats have not lost a single quarter this season. They have outscored their opponents in 15 of 16 quarters this season going along with one tie in the game against Purdue.

 

Northwestern is consistently taking care of the rock this season. They are fifth in the nation in assist-to-turnover ratio, and are leading the country with the best turnover margin per game at 14.25.

 

Nebraska is 3-3 overall this season, averaging 68.5 points per game thus far. The Cornhuskers are coming off a 72-83 road loss at Purdue. 

 

Thursday is the 19th matchup between these two programs. Northwestern won 60-56 in their only matchup last season, and the Wildcats are 3-2 in the last 5 meetings.
