Big Ten Sets 2019-20 Men's Basketball Schedule

EVANSTON, Ill.— With the release of the league slate by the Big Ten conference, the 2019-20 Northwestern Men's Basketball schedule is set.

Northwestern and its league counterparts will again play a 20-game conference schedule. The Wildcats will open Big Ten play on the road against Purdue, Dec. 8 and host Michigan State in Welsh-Ryan Arena on Dec. 18.
The Wildcats' conference slate includes seven home-and-home series. The 'Cats will also play three schools just once at home and three additional programs just once on the road.
NU will battle Illinois, Maryland, Michigan State, Minnesota, Nebraska, Penn State and Purdue in home-and-home series during the upcoming campaign.
Chicago's Big Ten Team will also host Iowa, Michigan and Ohio State at Welsh-Ryan Arena, while the 'Cats lone matchups with Indiana, Rutgers and Wisconsin will take place on the road.
The Wildcats announced their non-conference opponents in July. Following an exhibition contest on Oct. 31 versus Quincy, the Wildcats begin the 2019-20 campaign with a four-game homestand at Welsh-Ryan Arena. Northwestern battles Merrimack in the 2019 lidlifter on Nov. 8
Game times and TV assignments for the 2019-20 schedule will be released at a later date.
