Northwestern to Face Bradley in Fort Myers Tip-Off Opener

FORT MYERS, Fla. — Northwestern will face Bradley on Monday, Nov. 25, in the semifinal round of the 2019 Rocket Mortgage by Quicken Loans Fort Myers Tip-Off, announced by event organizer Intersport Wednesday. The second-annual event will be held at Suncoast Union Arena in Fort Myers, Fla., with Pitt and Kansas State squaring off on the other side of the bracket.
All four games of the Rocket Mortgage Fort Myers Tip-Off will be televised live on FS1. The second set of games will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 27. Game times will be announced at a later date.
"We are thrilled to be participating in the Fort Myers Tip-Off," said Sullivan-Ubben Head Men's Basketball Coach Chris Collins. "It's quickly emerging as one of the premier holiday tournaments with a competitive field and a spectacular venue. Every year our program aims to win a title in our early-season tournament, and what better place to try and accomplish that goal than in paradise. We are looking forward to seeing a lot of Northwestern fans in Florida this November."
Northwestern holds an 8-1 lead in the all-time meetings against Bradley. The Wildcats and Braves last met in 1985. This will be the first neutral-site contest in the series history.
