CHICAGO - Northwestern Men's Soccer alum, Tyler Miller was selected to the U.S. Men's National Team final 23-player roster for the 2019 Concacaf Gold Cup as the United States pursue its seventh confederation championship title. The 16-team tournament marks the first official competition for the MNT in the 2022 World Cup cycle.

Miller ('14) is in his second season as a regular starter on MLS team, LAFC and is one of three goalkeepers named to the USMNT roster.

The Woodbury, N.J. native led the LAFC to a third place finish in the Western Conference last season, ranks second in the MLS in goals allowed per 90 minutes and has backed the most wins of any team this season with an 11-1 record.

Miller was a four-year starter at Northwestern, earning First Team All-Big Ten Honors three times in his career. In his senior campaign, Miller led the Big Ten and ranked third in the country with his .854 save percentage. He was also the unanimous Big Ten Goalkeeper of the Year and was named to the NSCAA All-Midwest Region First Team.

Miller helped lead the #B1GCats to a pair of Big Ten regular-season titles in his first two seasons in Evanston. In his sophomore season, he played every minute in net and tabbed a pair of shutouts in NCAA Tournament play, becoming only the second NU player to record double-digits in shutouts in a season.

The USMNT heads to Cincinnati for a tournament tune-up against Venezuela on June 9 at Nippert Stadium before beginning Gold Cup play on June 18 against Guyana in St. Paul, MN at Allianz Field.
