Jack Dunn Named Big Ten Player of the Week

EVANSTON, Ill. — Northwestern senior infielder Jack Dunn was named the Big Ten's Player of the Week, the Conference announced Monday.
Dunn had a fantastic showing in Northwestern's 3-0 week. The Wildcats picked up a win over Illinois State before taking the first two games of their series against Nebraska. NU will play the Cornhuskers in the series finale today (Monday).
Dunn was .615 (8-for-13) in the stretch, adding two doubles and six runs batted in. On Sunday, he went 4-for-5 with three RBI. With his offensive frenzy, he increased his Big Ten-leading batting average to .370.
He also increased his career hit total to 225, which moves him into an 11th place tie with Joe Perona (1988-91) in the all-time Northwestern list.
The Wildcats (21-22) will play their contest against Nebraska at 3:30 p.m. today at Rocky & Berenice Miller Park.
