Haynes Welcomes Nine Wildcats to Cross Country Program

EVANSTON, Ill. — Northwestern head cross country coach 'A Havahla Haynes announced Thursday the addition of seven incoming first year student-athletes and two transfers to the program.    
 
Kalea Bartolotto (Livermore, Calif./Granada), Elizabeth Bulat (Rochester, Mich./Rochester), Kayle Byrne (Oak Brook, Ill./Hindsale Central), Sophie DeBenedetti (Sacramento, Calif./St. Francis), Hallie DeVore (Portland, Ore./Jesuit), Haley Hooper (Atlanta, Ga./The Lovett School), Abby Osterlund (Evanston, Ill./Evanston Township), Katelyn Schultz (Ramstein, Germany/Raminstein/Portland) and Miranda Thompson (Toronto, Ontario/The Bishop Strachab School/Boston College) will join the program for the start of the 2019-20 academic year.
 
"I look forward to this group of women joining Northwestern in the Fall. Each woman brings their own strength that will undoubtedly help us build upon the recent successes of the program. I'm confident this group of women will have a lasting impact on the program."
