Jared Jones Signs With Northwestern

EVANSTON, Ill. — Sullivan-Ubben Head Men's Basketball Coach Chris Collins announced Wednesday that Jared Jones (Hiram, Ga./McEachern) has signed a National Letter of Intent to join Northwestern for the 2019-20 season.
Jones joins Robbie Beran and Boo Buie, who signed with the Wildcats in the fall. At the time of Jones' signing, Northwestern's class ranks fifth overall among Big Ten programs – NU's highest-rated class among league opponents of all-time. Collins has now brought in back-to-back top-40 classes. The trio of Beran, Buie and Jones ranks 39th nationally, which is the second-highest ranked class in the Collins' era behind last year's signees (34th; 247Sports).

High School: Helped McEachern to a perfect 32-0 season in 2018-19 and the 2019 7A Georgia state title … McEachern finished the 2019 season ranked No. 1 in the country by PrepNation and No. 2 by MaxPreps … Led the Indians to the Bass Pro Tournament championship … Averaged 10 points and 10 rebounds at the City of Palms to be named to the all-tournament team en route to McEachern winning the title.

Jared has an unbelievable combination of size, skill and athleticism that should make him a great contributor to our program from day one."
