Law, Pardon Head to Portsmouth Invitational

EVANSTON, Ill. — Northwestern seniors Vic Law and Dererk Pardon will take their talents to Virginia this week for the 2019 Portsmouth Invitational.
Now in its 67th year, the Portsmouth Invitational is a showcase event for collegiate players who have exhausted their eligibility. Sixty-four players will participate in a four-day, 12-team tournament. Action gets underway on Wednesday, April 17 and runs through Saturday, April 20.
Law finished his career with 1,442 points and 711 rebounds, placing him 13th and 8th, respectively, in program history for those categories. The South Holland, Illinois, native, leaves NU in the top-10 for games played (10th; 125), games started (9th; 112), steals (t-10th; 119) and three-point field goals (10th; 193). Law was an All-Big Ten Defensive Team selection in 2017.
Pardon is Northwestern's all-time leader in career field goal percentage with a .602 mark from the floor. For his career, the center averaged 10.6 points per game and 7.0 rebounds. Pardon had a breakout senior campaign, posting single-season career bests for points (447), steals (27), assists (58), rebounds (249), made field goals (173) and minutes per game (33.0). He started and appeared in every game his junior and senior seasons.
