
'Cats Travel to Minnesota, Wisconsin for Weekend Action

EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern women's tennis continues Big Ten play this weekend, taking on conference opponents Minnesota and No. 47 Wisconsin. The 'Cats will play in Minneapolis on Friday, April 12 at 4 p.m. CT, before facing off against the Badgers in Madison on Sunday, April 14 at 11 a.m. CT.

No. 29 Northwestern (11-7, 5-2 B1G) looks to bounce back after dropping a pair of Big Ten matches last weekend.
Senior Lee Or is on a six-match winning streak as a singles player, winning twice last weekend. She took down ranked opponent No. 28 Chiara Lommer of Michigan in straight sets, then topped Maja Pietrowicz of Michigan State at No. 4 singles the next day.
The doubles pairing of senior Rheeya Doshi and sophomore Inci Ogut have also performed well for the 'Cats, with a hot streak of five wins and a 6-2 record on the season.
Minnesota (10-9, 3-4 B1G) heads into Friday on a three-match losing streak and is ranked 10th in the Big Ten.
Chicago's Big Ten Team will round out the weekend in Madison, Wisconsin, with that match taking place at the Nielsen Tennis Stadium.
Northwestern holds an all-time record of 40-11 against Wisconsin (14-3, 6-1 B1G), and has not lost to the badgers since 1998.
Following this weekend, the #B1GCats will host Ohio State and Penn State in Evanston to round out conference play before the postseason begins.
