PHOENIX, Ariz. — Northwestern senior Stephanie Lau posted her third-straight round under par and finished 7-under overall to earn Co-Medalist honors at the PING/ASU Invitational Sunday afternoon.

Lau wrapped up her stellar weekend with a 2-under, 70, that featured 10 pars, four birdies and an eagle. The Fullerton, California, native came out blistering hot with third birdies and an eagle on the front nine to make the turn at 4-under on the day and 9-under overall while claiming stake to sole possession of the lead.

She suffered a double bogey on No. 13 and a bogey on No. 18, but her bounce-back birdie on the 360-yard, par-4 14th hole proved to be exactly what she needed to finish in a three-way tie with UCLA's Bethany Wu and Stanford's Andrea Lee.

The victory is the first of Lau's collegiate career. She will head to Augusta, Georgia, this week for the inaugural Augusta National Women's Amateur April 3-6.

The Wildcats shot under par for the second-straight day, carding a 4-under, 284, as a team to finish in a two-way tie with Washington for third in the tournament with a 54-hole even-par, 864.

No. 1 USC claimed the team title at 5-under and host No. 16 Arizona State finished second at 4-under.

Junior Brooke Riley's play on Sunday played a key role in the 'Cats holding their spot in the top three. Riley matched her season-best with a 4-under, 68, to finish even par over 54 holes and tied for 18th. The junior was even par on the front nine, but turned it on coming in with four birdies, including three straight on holes 13, 14 and 15.

First year Kelly Sim closed her tournament with a strong third round, making the turn at 2-under and eventually moved to 3-under on the day with a birdie at No. 12. Sim made three bogeys over her last six holes, but finished round three with an even-par 72 and claimed 32nd at 5-over overall.

Fellow first-year Jane Lu—competing as the Wildcats individual—put her skill on display in round three with five birdies to post a season-best 2-under, 70.
