Postseason Bound: #B1GCats Selected for WNIT

EVANSTON, Ill. - Northwestern looks to extend its season in the 2019 Women's National Invitation Tournament as they host the Dayton Flyers on Thursday, March 21 in Welsh-Ryan Arena. Tip off is set for 7 p.m.
The Wildcats received an at-large bid to the 64-team postseason tournament on Monday night and is one of three teams from the Big Ten in the field.

First-round action begins Wednesday, March 20 and continues through Friday, March 22. Second-round games are slated for March 20-22; Round 3 runs March 27-29 and Round 4 is scheduled from March 30-31. The semifinals of the WNIT will be held April 3-4, and the championship game will be played at 3 p.m. ET, Saturday, April 6 and be televised on CBS Sports Network. Fans can purchase tickets through the Northwestern Ticket Office starting Tuesday, March 19 at 10 A.M. CT.
This is the sixth postseason appearance under head coach Joe McKeown as the Wildcats are 5-4 in the WNIT.
