Northwestern Set to Face No. 10 Maryland in College Park

EVANSTON, Ill. - Northwestern [14-8, 7-4 Big Ten] will head to College Park, Maryland to take on No. 10 Maryland [20-2, 9-2 Big Ten] in the Xfinity Center Thursday night. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m. CT.
The Wildcats enter Thursday's contest after a convincing 76-59 victory over Ohio State in Welsh-Ryan Arena. Lindsey Pulliam led the team is scoring for the 13th time this season with 23 points and extended her double-digit scoring streak to 21 consecutive games which is the eighth longest streak in Northwestern history.
Pallas Kunaiyi-Akpanah notched her sixth-straight double-double and 14th on the season with 17 points and 13 rebounds. With 956 career rebounds, the senior forward has surpassed Anucha Browne's career rebounding record of 951 (1982-1985). Kunaiyi-Akpanah is now second, behind Nia Coffey for most career rebounds.
On defense, the 'Cats forced 20 Ohio State turnovers and swiped 14 steals, the most for the Wildcats in Big Ten play this season. Northwestern converted those turnovers into 25 points and is holding its opponents to just 36-percent from the field, the lowest in conference play.
Maryland sits first in the Big Ten and is 10-1 at home. The Terrapins enter Thursday's matchup on a five-game winning streak. In last meeting between the two teams, Northwestern dropped a close contest, 68-65 in Evanston (Jan. 25, 2018).
