Northwestern Falls to #10 Maryland, 72-57

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Northwestern (14-9, 7-5) dropped its first conference road matchup in four weeks, falling to No. 10 Maryland, 72-57, on Thursday evening.
Lindsey Pulliam put up 18 points in front of her hometown crowd. The sophomore extended her double-digit scoring streak to 22 games, the longest of her career and eighth in Northwestern history. Junior Abi Scheid scored 16 points on 6-for-12 shooting from the field in her second game back to the Wildcats' starting lineup.
Northwestern outscored the Terrapins in the second half, 37-31 and converted 14 turnovers into 13 points.
Senior Pallas Kunaiyi-Akpanah led all players with 13 rebounds, her 17th game this season with 10 or more rebounds.
Abbie Wolf contributed eight points and added two assists while Veronica Burton pulled down five defensive rebounds and dished out a team-high three assists.
Chicago's Big Ten Team continues play on the road, Sunday, Feb. 10, when it takes on Minnesota for the second time this season. Tip-off is set for 1 p.m. CT.
