Swan Welcomes Thieneman and Blekher to 2020 Roster

EVANSTON, IL – Northwestern men's tennis will welcome two new Wildcats, Presley Thieneman and Gleb Blekher to the 2020-21 roster announced head coach Arvid Swan, Friday morning.
"We are really excited to add Presley and Gleb to the team," said Swan. "Presley and Gleb are elite recruits. Both players work really hard on and off the court and have aspirations for their tennis. I expect Presley and Gleb to make an immediate positive impact on the court and in the classroom."
Midwest native Presley Thieneman joins the 'Cats from Carmel, Indiana where he was a four-time varsity tennis player at Carmel High School. The two time team captain was voted the Indiana Player of the Year and received both All-State and All-America honors.
Gleb Blekher joins NU from after being ranked as high as 129 in the ITF world junior rankings, boasting four ITF junior single titles and a doubles title on his resume representing Canada.
These two future Wildcats will join eight returning players including the doubles team of junior Nick Brookes and sophomore Simon Bratholm that has ranked as high as 10 in the 2019 ITA Rankings.
