Amonte Hiller Announces 2020 Schedule
12/19/2019 10:30:00 AM | Women's Lacrosse
EVANSTON, IL – Combe Family Head Lacrosse Coach Kelly Amonte Hiller announced the schedule for the 2020 season on Thursday afternoon.
"We are once again very excited to play one of the toughest non-conference schedules in the country," said Amonte Hiller. "Combining this non-conference slate with Big Ten competition should have us well prepared for May lacrosse."
Northwestern will host 10 home games, including five match ups with teams that ended the 2019 season in the IWLCA Top-25 in Notre Dame, Syracuse, Stanford, UNC and Johns Hopkins.
The 'Cats will face multiple road tests this season, headlined by a trip to College Park to face off against reigning the NCAA champions, Maryland, and a visit to runners-up Boston College before returning to Evanston to close out the season with back-to-back home games.
The Wildcats return 28 players including 2019 Big Ten Freshman of the Year, Izzy Scane, All-Americans Brennan Dwyer and Ally Palermo, junior Lindsey McKone who earned her first All-Region Honors in 2019, and U19 World Champions Madison Doucette, Elle Hansen and Greta Stahl.
Amonte Hiller also welcomes 12 new Wildcats to the 2020 roster, including U19 World Championship runner-up Eve Hritzuk and four players ranked on the Inside Lacrosse Top 50 rankings (Jane Hansen, Erin Coykendall, Dylan Amonte and Logan Lillie).
All non-conference dates and times have been finalized. All Big Ten home game dates and times will be determined by the conference in January. Dates and times for the entire schedule are subject to change.
