Wildcats Cruise to 5-0 in Victory over Colgate

EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern coasted past Colgate, 73-44, in Wednesday afternoon's game at Welsh-Ryan Arena. With their fifth straight win, Wildcats remain undefeated at 5-0
In the first half, 'Cats outpaced the Raiders, 35-18. Junior Lindsey Pulliam led the 'Cats with 13 points and a rebound while senior Abbie Wolf scored eight points and three rebounds.
In the second half, Sydney Wood led the #B1GCats with seven points and three rebounds, as well as six assists.
Pulliam led the Wildcats with 18 points, two assists and a rebound. Wolf trailed Pulliam with 12 points and six rebounds.
Sophomores Wood and Courtney Shaw also impressed. Wood led the team in eight rebounds while Shaw posted 10 points and six rebounds.
Chicago's Big Ten Team, once again, held their opponents under 50 points, for the fourth time in five tries this season. Sophomore Veronica Burton keyed the Wildcat defense with five steals as part of a season-high 14 for the team. The 'Cats held Colgate to an icy 9% from behind the arc, on 2-22 shooting.
The 'Cats will be back in action on Sunday as they host No. 16 DePaul at Welsh-Ryan Arena, as part of Autism Awareness Day. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m.
