Berry, Nicholson Sign with the 'Cats

EVANSTON, Ill. - Sullivan-Ubben Head Men's Basketball Coach Chris Collins announced Wednesday that two individuals have signed National Letters of Intent to join Northwestern for the 2020-21 season
Ty Berry (Wichita, KS./Sunrise Christian) and Matt Nicholson (Clarkston, Mich./Clarkston) will be joining the Wildcat squad in Evanston next season.
"We are excited to welcome Ty Berry and Matt Nicholson to the Northwestern basketball family," said Collins. "They are two outstanding young men and we are excited about their futures as Wildcats."

High School: Ranked as the No. 2 guard in the state of Kansas… a two-time All-Metro selection at Newton HS before transferring to Sunrise Christian… averaged 12.3 points, 3.4 assists and 2.3 steals while playing on the Under Armour Association … No. 25 ranked shooting guard in the nation according to Rivals.com
Collins on Berry: "Ty is a talented guard that will bring a dynamic skill set to our program. He is an elite shooter and playmaker. Combining that with his great work ethic, character and leadership will make Ty an immediate contributor from day one."

High School: Rated as the No. 6 prospect from the state of Michigan according to 247sports.com…Averaged 14 points, 12 rebounds as a junior… No. 39 ranked center in the country according to Rivals.com
Collins on Nicholson: "Matt is an athletic big man with a great upside. Watching his improvement over the past year shows his tremendous work ethic and exciting potential. Coming from a highly successful high school program, Matt is a proven winner that will bring toughness and competitiveness to our young frontline right away"
