EVANSTON, Ill. – Junior Lindsey Pulliam was named to the watch list for the 2020 Ann Meyers Drysdale Award, annually given to the best shooting guard in Division I women's basketball, as announced by the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and the Women's Basketball Coaches Association on Tuesday.

Pulliam joined 19 other shooting guards around the country on the watch list, and was one of four Big Ten Players on the list. The Silver Spring, Md. native was a first-team All-Big Ten selection in 2019 after averaging 16.5 points, the best fifth-best scoring output in the conference, along with 1.8 assists and 3.6 rebounds in 34.6 minutes per game.

On Monday, Pulliam was named to the Preseason All-Big Ten team by both the coaches and the media and was a unanimous coaches' selection.

The Selection Committee for the Ann Meyers Drysdale Award is composed of top women's college basketball personnel including media members, head coaches, sports information directors and Hall of Famers. New to the award this season is Fan Voting presented by Dell Technologies in each of the three rounds. By mid-February, the watch list of 20 players for the 2020 Ann Meyers Drysdale Award will be narrowed to just 10. In March, five finalists will be presented to Ms. Meyers Drysdale and the Hall of Fame's selection committee. The winner of the 2020 Ann Meyers Drysdale Award will be presented at The College Basketball Awards presented by Wendy's in Los Angeles, Calif. on Friday, April 10, 2020

The Wildcats open their season in less than three weeks with an exhibition at Welsh-Ryan Arena on Wednesday, Nov. 6 against Lewis at 7 p.m. The 'Cats will play their first official game four days later on Sunday, Nov. 10 at 3:30 p.m. against Loyola Maryland at Welsh-Ryan.
