The Wildcats enter Tuesday night's contest after securing their second straight B1G win, defeating No. 15 Michigan State, 70-62. Northwestern is just one of four Big Ten schools to defeat two ranked opponents this year. Earlier in the season, the Wildcats defeated a No. 21 Duke team, 84-58 in the home-opener of the new Welsh-Ryan Arena.

Northwestern's defense continues to overwhelm its opponents, holding teams to a 28.3 percent clip on three point shooting and forcing 18.4 turnovers per game, the second highest in the Big Ten. Chicago's Big Ten Team is also second in the conference in steals, with 10 per game and sits 13th nationally for blocked shots with 78 on the season. Pallas Kunaiyi-Akpanah leads the team in blocks with 25.

In conference play, Kunaiyi-Akpanah is averaging 11 ppg. and 11.7 rpg. Last time out, the senior secured her seventh double-double of the season with 17 points and 10 rebounds in the #B1GCats win over the Spartans which earned her Big Ten Player of the Week Honor Roll.

A win in Ann Arbor would be the first time Northwestern has defeated both Big Ten schools in the state of Michigan since 2015.
