Wildcats Set For Road Contest at No. 25 Indiana

EVANSTON, Ill. - Northwestern (9-7, 2-3 Big Ten) will travel to Bloomington, Indiana to take on the No. 25 Indiana Hoosiers (15-2, 4-1 Big Ten) on Wednesday, Jan.16. Tip off is scheduled for 6 p.m. CT.
The Wildcats are coming off a hard fought contest in Welsh-Ryan Arena after climbing back from an 11-point halftime deficit to be within one in the fourth quarter but were outlasted by Purdue, 57-54. Pallas Kunaiyi-Akpanah and Lindsey Pulliam finished the night with double-digit scoring performances.
Pulliam continues to lead the way for Northwestern in scoring this season, registering 15 points and four assists in her last time out. Averaging 17.6 ppg in B1G play, the sophomore captain extended her double-digit scoring streak to 15 games this season, the longest of her career.
Kunaiyi-Akpanah added another double-double to her résumé, securing her eighth this season and 29th of her career with 13 points and 14 boards. She is among the top 25 players in the country for number of double-doubles this season.
As a team, the Wildcats continue their stifling defensive effort, forcing an average of 18.3 opponent turnovers per game while averaging 9.9 steals.
Northwestern and Indiana have two wins apiece in the last four meetings. This will be the third straight contest the Wildcats have faced the Hoosiers in Bloomington.

- The Hoosiers are a perfect 8-0 at home this season.
- Redshirt junior Ali Patberg leads the team in scoring, who is currently averaging 17.3 points per game.
- Redshirt junior Brenna Wise leads the team in rebounds, averaging 7.4 per game, and is second in points with 13.5 per game. She also leads the Big Ten in free throw percentage with a .920 mark.
