Thorson is the eighth quarterback in program history to be selected in the NFL Draft and the third in the last 10 years.

The program's all-time passing leader with 10,731 yards and 61 touchdowns, Thorson started a Big Ten record 53-straight games at quarterback to lead the Wildcats to four-straight bowl games. The Wildcats won three-straight bowlsfor the first time in program history and claimed the program's first Big Ten West Division title in 2018 with Thorson at the helm.
