SEATTLE — With the match locked at 3-3 and sophomore Caroline Pozo trailing 3-0 in the final set, Pozo rallied to win six games and take the final set, 6-3, to give No. 12 Northwestern a 4-3 win over No. 18 LSU at the ITA National Indoor Team Championships.

The Wildcats opened the evening by winning the doubles point. Julie Byrne and Hannah McColgan won at No. 2 doubles, 7-5, while Rheeya Doshi and Caroline Pozo picked up a 7-6 (4) win at No. 3.

LSU managed to win at No. 5 and No. 6 positions to take a 3-2 lead with only two matches remaining. First year Clarissa Hand beat LSU's Eden Richardson in No. 1 singles, 7-6 (2), 7-6 (2), to pull the match even for Pozo at No. 4 singles.

Pozo won her open set, 6-4, before LSU's Kennan Johnson brought it square with a 6-3 win in the second set. Pozo's rally gave Northwestern its third ranked win of the season.
