‘Cats Fall to Vandy, Prepare for NC State

NASHVILLE, TENN – Northwestern fell to Vanderbilt, 5-2, on Friday afternoon at the  Brownlee O. Currey Jr. Tennis Center.
 
Nicholas Brookes and Simen Bratholm brought home their second win of the season in doubles, taking down Vanderbilt's team of Klinger and Freeman.
 
Junior Dominik Stary continued his win streak, taking down Freeman of Vanderbilt in three sets (4-6, 6-1, 6-0). First-year Trice Pickens secured the Wildcat's second point on the day dropping Worst, 8-4, in a super set.
 
The 'Cats are two matches in to their five-match road stretch. They will be back on the court to take on North Carolina State on Jan 20^th at noon.
 
Northwestern faced off against the Wolfpack last year in Evanston in a hard fought match. The Wildcats are 4-4 against NC State in their last 8 meetings.
