EVANSTON, Ill. – No. 21 Northwestern continues its Big Ten homestand on Sunday when it welcomes Ohio State to Martin Stadium for a noon kickoff.

The match will be nationally televised on ESPNU.

The Wildcats are coming off of a ranked 1-0 win over No. 20 Penn State on Thursday, taking down the Nittany Lions in the regular season for the first time since 1998. Senior center back Kayla Sharples scored the game's lone goal with eight seconds remaining in the first half.

Senior Marisa Viggiano earned an assist, boosting her career total to 17 and giving her sole possession of third place on the all-time assist list in program history.

The Northwestern defense kept its seventh shutout of the year, and first year goalkeeper Mackenzie Wood made six saves, improving her season save percentage to .897, the best mark in the Big Ten.

The Wildcats trail the all-time series against the Buckeyes, but won last year's meeting in Columbus, 1-0, thanks to a Sharples set piece goal. Two years ago the teams drew 0-0 in Columbus as well. Ohio State has not played in Evanston since 2012.
