Northwestern Announces Home Fall Schedule, Youth Clinics

EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern will host three days of games at Sharon J. Drysdale Field during fall ball this season, with each day also featuring a "Fall Ball With The 'Cats Jrs." camp for youth softball players in Grades 3-5.
The games will take place on three-consecutive Sundays in the fall beginning September 30 and continuing through October 14. Northwestern will play two games on each of those days in addition to hosting its youth camp.
The full fall schedule is:
Sunday, September 30
10 a.m.: Northwestern vs. Loyola (Chicago)
1-2 p.m.: Fall Ball With The 'Cats Jrs. Camp
2:30 p.m.: Northwestern vs. Spoon River CC
Sunday, October 7
9:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m.: Fall Ball With The 'Cats Jrs. Camp
Noon: Northwestern vs. UW-Green Bay (DH)
Sunday, October 14
10 a.m.: Northwestern vs. DePaul (DH)
3-5 p.m.: Fall Ball With The 'Cats Jrs. Camp
Fall Ball With The 'Cats Jrs. is designed to allow youth softball players to watch Northwestern softball take the field for fall competition, and then work with NU staff at a camp of their own where they will participate in both offensive and defensive skill-work. Fundamentals of the game including throwing, fielding, baserunning and hitting will all be covered in this camp. Registration is limited to the first 50 campers in Grades 3-5, so REGISTER NOW!
For all fans, fall ball games at The J are free of charge and parking is free as well. Fans are encouraged to attend, tailgate and enjoy fall at the ballpark!
Northwestern softball is coming off a 2018 season that saw the Wildcats reach the championship rounds of the Big Ten Tournament and the NCAA Athens Regional. NU returns five NFCA All-Region or All-Big Ten honorees including first-year All-American Rachel Lewis from that team, and matriculates the nation's ninth-ranked recruiting class to Evanston for the 2018-19 season.
