Miskovic Earns Big Ten Weekly Honor

EVANSTON, Ill. – Sophomore keeper Miha Miskovic was named the Big Ten's Co-Defensive Player of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday.
The Zemun, Serbia, native posted two shutouts in 200:00 minutes of action to guide the Wildcats to an unbeaten start to the season.
Miskovic earned his first career shutout in the 3-0 win over Cleveland State in the season opener. He tallied a save in 11 shots faced.
Against Xavier, Miskovic faced 21 shots and made four saves, helping Northwestern earn a 0-0 result in double overtime for his second consecutive clean sheet.
This marked Miskovic's first time earning Defensive Player of the Week honors, which was also earned by Michigan State goalkeeper Jimmy Hague this week.
Chicago's Big Ten Team travels to Madison, Wisconsin, for a pair of games over Labor Day Weekend as part of the Wisconsin Invitational. Northwestern will face Valparaiso on Saturday, Sept. 1 at 5 p.m. and then wrap up the weekend with a noon kick against Fordham on Monday, Sept. 3.
