Williams’ Career-High Night Leads NU to Win over New Hampshire

MILWAUKEE — Northwestern rebounded from a first-set deficit to knock off New Hampshire in four sets at the Klotsche Center on Friday evening.
 
The 'Cats will wrap up their stay in Wisconsin tomorrow afternoon with a contest against Milwaukee. Which will start at 3 p.m. CT and will be broadcast on ESPN+.

- The Wildcats improve to 2-0 all-time against New Hampshire, who was picked to finish second in the America East conference in the conference's preseason poll.
- Northwestern has started the season 2-0 for the fourth time in the last five seasons.
- Danyelle Williams set her career high with 16 kills … She finished with a .326 hitting percentage in the match.
- Kiara McNulty posted her second double-double in as many contests … She finished with 43 assists and 22 digs … The California native has 92 assists in two matches … She filled up the stat sheet, recording two aces and a block.
- Nia Robinson posted her second-straight match with double-digit kills … She amassed a team-high 17 kills on 38 attempts, notching a .342 hitting percentage.
- Olivia Viscuso notched another game with a hitting percentage above .500 … She was 9-for-12 with one error (.667 hitting percentage)
- Sarah Johnson logged double-digit digs for the second-straight match … She finished with 16.
- Michelle Lee finished with two aces … She has logged five aces over her first two matches.
- Hanna Lesiak made her collegiate debut in the contest … She notched her first-career kill in the third set … Ivey Whalen made her season debut in the fourth set.
- Northwestern dropped their first set, 25-20, despite Danyelle Williams converting four kills on nine swings (.444) … The 'Cats posted three team blocks in the first set.
- The 'Cats carried the second set, 25-16, tied for their largest single-set win in this young season … Danyelle Williams was 9-for-13 on attempts in the set, without committing a single error (.692 hitting percentage).
- NU limited New Hampshire to a .104 hitting percentage in the third set, and NU won, 25-21.
- The fourth set saw offensive firepower, but the 'Cats outhit New Hampshire, .293 to .275, and won, 25-19.
