Season Premiere of "The Foundation" Set for September 5

EVANSTON, Illinois. – Season four of The Foundation: Northwestern Football, from the Emmy Award-winning Studio N, will debut on Wednesday, September 5, at 5:30 p.m. CT on NBC Sports Chicago. The show once again will offer an unparalleled behind-the-scenes perspective on the Wildcats.
"We're proud to share what our program represents on the field and off," said Dan & Susan Jones Family Head Football Coach Pat Fitzgerald. "The hard work of our broadcast operations staff allows us to show recruits and the Wildcats community around the world what Northwestern football is all about, on gameday and throughout the year. We're excited this season to give people another glimpse of our process to build a foundation to compete for championships."
The season four premiere will include an exclusive look at quarterback Clayton Thorson's eventful offseason, the program's summer transition into the state-of-the-art Walter Athletics Center and Ryan Fieldhouse, a July 4 BBQ with cousins and teammates T.J. Green and Bennett Skowronek, and Camp Kenosha with linebacker Nate Hall.
The first season of The Foundation was released in the spring of 2015 and chronicled Northwestern football's spring practice campaign. The series expanded during the 2016 football season to an eight-episode television show. New episodes of The Foundation: Northwestern Football will air every other week on NBC Sports Chicago and be available across all Northwestern digital channels.
Northwestern will open the 2018 campaign versus Big Ten foe Purdue at Ross Ade Stadium on Thursday, August 30 in front of a nationally audience on ESPN. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT.
A limited number of season tickets remain for the Best Home Schedule in the Nation that kicks off with a visit from Duke on Saturday, September 8. The 2018 home slate also includes visits from Akron, Michigan, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Notre Dame and in-state foe Illinois.
